'There Can Only Be One': Sivakarthikeyan On Being Called Next Thalapathy Vijay
During a media interaction with the fans, Sivakarthikeyan was asked about his cameo in the superhit GOAT, while being greeted with the chants of “Next Thalapathy.”

Sivakarthikeyan is regarded as one of the leading names in South Indian cinema. The actor has featured in some of the industry’s most successful releases, amassing a loyal fan following. In a recent media interaction, the actor was compared to Thalapathy Vijay and his reaction to it is being appreciated by the fans.

As per the reports, the actor has started the promotion of his next Amaran, paying a visit to Malaysia for the event. There, during an interaction with the fans, Sivakarthikeyan was asked about his cameo in the superhit GOAT, while being greeted with the chants of “Next Thalapathy”.

The actor expressed his gratitude and love towards Vijay and Venkat Prabhu, giving an inspirational reply to being compared with Thalapathy. He stated that Tamil cinema can only have one Thalapathy, Thala, Superstar and Ulaganayagan, and nobody can replace them. According to him, he wishes to feature in superhit releases of the same level as his seniors but does not desire to replace their places.

Sivakarthikeyan appeared during a crucial point of The Greatest Of All Time, which led to the climax of the release. In the scene, he is asked by Gandhi (Vijay’s character) to keep an eye on a villain being held captive in a washroom. He hands him a gun and heads out to save others.

Sivakarthikeyan will be featured in Amaran, being helmed by Rajkumar Periasamy who has also co-written its screenplay with Stefan Ritcher. Dubbed as a biographical action drama, the cast of the film includes Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar and others. It is being produced by Kamal Haasan, R Mahendran and Vivek Krishnani under the banners of Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. For music, the makers roped in G V Prakash Kumar while the cinematography is being done by C H Sai and the editor is R Kalaivanan. The film is expected to have its theatrical release on October 31. Sivakarthikeyan will be seen in the role of the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, in the film.
