Actor Prashanth is currently making headlines for his upcoming film, Andhagan. The film is all set to enter theatres on August 15. Meanwhile, the actor has made a major announcement about the upcoming single from the film, which is gaining everyone’s attention.
The actor announced on his official Twitter handle page that actor Vijay, with whom he will be sharing screen space in Venkat Prabhu’s Greatest of All Time (GOAT), will reveal “Andhagan Anthem” on July 24.
The star-studded song was visualized and conceptualized by Prabhu Deva (who also stars in GOAT). The song is sung by Anirudh and Vijay Sethupathi, while the lyrics are written by Umadevi and Ekadasi. “A heartfelt thank you to our dearest Thalapathy Vijay. I am delighted to share that he will be unveiling the much-awaited promotional “The Andhagan Anthem” song on July 24. Mark the date and get ready to groove!” reads the caption. Thiagarajan, Prashanth’s father, directs Andhagan. It is an official Tamil remake of Sriram Raghavan’s 2018 film Andhadhun. The Hindi film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte in key roles.
Andhagan’s ensemble cast includes Karthik, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Oorvasi, KS Ravikumar, Vanitha Vijaykumar, Leela Samson, Poovaiyar, Besant Ravi, and Mohan Vaithiya, among others. The late actor Manobala also appears in the film as a police official.
Santhosh Narayanan created the film’s music, Ravi Yadav did the cinematography, and Sathish Suriya edited it. The film was produced by Staar Movies.
For the unversed, Andhadhun was remade in Telugu as Maestro (2021), starring Nithiin, Tamannaah and Nabha Natesh, and in Malayalam as Bhramam (2021), with Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the lead.
The Greatest of All Time is an upcoming Tamil-language science fiction action film directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. The film stars Vijay in a dual role, while the supporting cast includes Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Ajmal Ameer, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, and Yugendran.
The Greatest of All Time is scheduled to release worldwide on September 5, in theaters.
