Teaser For Ram Gopal Varma’s Saaree Unveiled, Aaradhya Devi Stars In New Thriller
The film carries the tagline, "Too much love can be scary."

The teaser for Saaree, presented by Ram Gopal Varma, has been released recently. The film, starring Malayalee actress Aaradhya Devi in the lead role, has already garnered significant attention. Directed by Giri Krishna Kamal and produced by Ravi Varma, the movie explores how a young man’s intense attraction to a saree-clad woman leads to dangerous consequences. The cinematography is by Sabari and the film carries the tagline, “Too much love can be scary."

The guy, played by Satya Yadu, spots a girl in a saree, played by Aaradhya Devi and starts stalking her and his feelings slowly become dangerous. The storyline centres on how his growing obsession becomes perilous. Aaradhya Devi, whose previous name was Srilakshmi was selected for the role through Ram Gopal Varma’s corporate venture, RGV Den. Both Aaradhya Devi and Sathya Yadu were chosen unanimously for their roles.

Ram Gopal Varma found Aaradhya Devi through an Instagram reel she sent. Saaree is set to release on November 4 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages.

In April this year, Ram Gopal Varma introduced an innovative concept named ‘Your Film’ during a recent press conference held at RGV Den. In this new concept, the audience has complete control over the film’s outcome. The actors, director, cinematographer and other technicians of the film will all be chosen by the audience using an interactive voting method on the RGV website (rgvden.com). As per reports, the process is elegantly simple yet profoundly transformative. Individuals can submit their movie ideas in one or two lines on the RGV website.

Then, anybody interested in these including actors, directors, cinematographers, or music directors — can apply. Further, the RGV team will carefully go over the applications and select applicants for interviews and auditions.

The audition process will be overseen by RGV himself. In the end, the audience will have the authority to vote for the people they want to see playing each role.

Ram Gopal Varma said if he is grateful to this democratisation of the medium and now the public will hold the real power in filmmaking. These movies will be made by the audience, for the audience and of the audience, which is similar to the fundamental tenet of democracy: by the people, for the people and of the people.
