Sunil Lahri DISAPPROVES Sai Pallavi as Sita, Says Actress Doesn't Have Beautiful Face Like the Goddess
Lakshman actor Sunil Lahri is not on board with Sai Pallavi's casting as Goddess Sita in Ramayana.

Ramayan actor Sunil Lahri does not approve of Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. In a recent interview, Sunil said Sai doesn’t have the features of the Goddess. He described Sita as a woman with ‘beautiful and perfect’ face. However, Sunil confessed he doesn’t see that perfection in Sai’s face. The South Indian star will be making her Bollywood debut with the Ranbir Kapoor-headlined film.

“I don’t know how she is as an actress, I have never seen any of her work. But, looks wise, I am honestly not very convinced. In my mind, Sita has a very beautiful and perfect looking face, and I don’t think Sai’s face has that perfection,” Sunil told Hindustan Times.

“In Indian mindsets, all the Devis are out of this world, it should be extraordinary. I don’t know how they are going to make this actress look that attractive that Raavan would fall for her,” the 63-year-old said.

Sai is yet to react to the comments. Meanwhile, last year, Pinkvilla reported that Sai Pallavi is charging Rs 6 crore for her portrayal of Goddess Sita. She has doubled her reported fees of Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 3 crore for the film.

Director Nitesh Tiwari began shooting for Ramayana earlier this summer. Actress Akruti Singh took to her Instagram stories and shared a video from the film’s grand Ayodhya set in Mumbai. Later, photos of Lara Dutta and Arun Govil from the sets have been leaked.

Following the leak, Nitesh took a drastic step to combat these measures. According to a report by India Today, director Nitesh Tiwari was quite upset with the leak and thus, a “strict no-phone policy has been imposed on the set”. The director has also mandated that extra staff and crew be off the set when the shooting begins. As per the report, only required actors and technicians can be on set.
