SS Rajamouli's RRR is 5th on the Highest-Grosser List on Second Friday; The Kashmir Files Remains on Top
RRR (Hindi) earned Rs13.25 crore on the second Friday after its release, taking its total box-office collection to Rs146 crore.

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is breaking all records at the box office. According to Box Office India report published over the weekend, the Hindi version of Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer, RRR, earned Rs13.25 crore on the second Friday after its release, taking the total box-office collection of the Hindi version of the film to Rs146 crore.

With this, RRR (Hindi) has also beaten big films such as Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju, and Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani that had collected Rs12.35 crore, Rs12.09 crore, and Rs12 crore respectively on their second Fridays. RRR (Hindi) is now 5th on the all time top grossers list on second Friday.

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files, however, continues its winning streak, and retains its top position on the list.  The film which was released on March 11 this year had earned Rs19.92 crore on its second Friday. The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi and Chinmay Mandlekar in key roles is based on the the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits.

The Kashmir Files – Rs19.92 Crore

Bahubali 2 – Rs19.81 crore

Dangal Rs17.84 crore

PK – Rs14.52 crore

RRR – Rs13.25 crore

Meanwhile, in just a week of its release in multiple languages, RRR has collected over Rs700 crore worldwide. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film’s gross box office collection after week One is Rs710 crore worldwide. Of this, the film has collected Rs560 crore in India. “‘RRR’ IS UNSTOPPABLE, UNSHAKEABLE… *#Worldwide* Week 1 Gross BOC: ₹710 cr… *#India* Gross BOC: ₹560 cr… Next to #Baahubali2. #RRR #RRRMovie,” the trade analyst tweeted.

RRR was released on March 25. It is based on the lives of Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem who fought to break away from the shackles of the British empire in India. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran and Ajay Devgn among others.
