SS Rajamouli, an ace director, has recently opened up about his upcoming documentary film, titled Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli. On July 6, Streaming platform Netflix announced the film and will be produced by Applause Entertainment and Film Companion Studios. It is directed by Raghav Khanna.  Coming from a humble background, Rajamouli and his family are passionate about creating compelling stories. Rajamouli credits his family for their unwavering support, encouragement, and contributions by playing key roles in his craft.

Talking about the same, SS Rajamouli said, “I feel I am extremely lucky to have such a family who are so protective about me.” The announcement comes days after Rajamouli was inducted in the Director’s branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. According to the makers, Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli will encapsulate the filmmaker’s creative universe, showcasing his profound influence on Indian and international cinema, his enduring legacy, and his innovative contributions to filmmaking. In addition to this, it will feature an interview with Rajamouli, also known for action movies such as Eega and Magadheera and the man behind the best original song Oscar winning film RRR.

From his father to son, everyone is integrally involved in his filmography. His uncle, K. Shiva Shakthi Datta, is a lyricist; his father, V. Vijayendra Prasad, is a screenwriter and director; both his sister-in-law, M. M. Srivalli, and his son, S. S. Karthikeya, are line producers; and his wife, Rama Rajamouli, is a costume designer. Additionally, his cousin, M. M. Keeravani, is a music composer famously known for the 95th Academy Awards (Oscars) winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from RRR; another cousin, S. S.
