SS Rajamouli AVOIDS Fans' Questions About Mahesh Babu Film As He Watches Devara First Day First Show

Director SS Rajamouli made his way to the theatres to watch the first day first show of Jr NTR’s new film, Devara. The filmmaker watched the film with his family and extended his support to the RRR star. However, to his surprise, when fans noticed him, they did not ask him about Devara. Instead, they urged him to give them an update on his upcoming film with Mahesh Babu, currently dubbed as SSMB29.

In a video shared on X, a fan was heard asking Rajamouli to give them an update about the film. The filmmaker appeared to be fighting a smile while ignoring the fan’s request. He was busy on the phone and chose not to engage with the fan. Watch the video below:

According to some reports, SSMB29 will be a globe-trotting adventure film, possibly set in the context of a jungle or wilderness. Rajamouli has hinted that the film will have a large-scale, epic narrative, likely involving a lot of action and visual effects, similar to his previous projects. It’s also rumoured that the film will explore new storytelling techniques and visuals, something Rajamouli is well-known for. Mahesh Babu has been sporting a bearded look for the film.

His wife Namrata Shirodkar shared a glimpse of his new look in a recent Instagram post.

Meanwhile, Devara: Part 1 was released on Friday, September 27, with much fanfair. The film marks Jr NTR’s first solo release in six years. The film has already sold tickets worth Rs 80 crore. Besides Jr NTR, Devara also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Both the Bollywood actors are making their Telugu film industry debut with the film.
