Ever since the Coronavirus lockdown started, actor Sonu has been helping migrant workers stuck in different parts of the country reach their respective homes. He has also helped people in need, through his helpline and social media.
Now, the actor has sent shoes to an athlete named Manoj, who has been training for the Olympics with borrowed branded shoes from his friends. Manoj had taken to Twitter and reached out to Sonu. He wrote, “@SonuSood sir my family economic conditions is not good and my game is all over the world so plzz sir do help and support me and my game.”
The Simmba actor responded, “It’s done bhai . Will be delivered today.”

Along with Manoj, Sonu has helped another family. A Twitter user named Pavan K asked for the actor’s help in securing academic books for his sister, who is preparing for Civil services. He wrote, , “Sir,can you pls help in my sister’s Civils preparation? She need some upsc books.being in a farmer’s family my father can not afford for that in this critical situation.pleasr sir help.” Sonu replied to him, saying, “Your books will reach you by tomorrow.”

The actor also recently announced that he will be providing accommodation for 20,000 migrant workers who have gained employment in the garment units in Noida through his initiative Pravasi Rojgar. He has also set up a toll-free Whatsapp helpline to help migrant workers amid the Coronavirus crisis.
