The first trailer of Snow White was unveiled at D23 on Friday, offering a glimpse into the magical retelling. Directed by Marc Webb, the film features Rachel Zegler as the beloved while Gal Gadot takes on the role of Evil Queen. Originally slated for release on March 22, 2024, the film will hit the theatres on March 21, 2025.

The new teaser shows Zegler as Snow White, introducing audiences to her live-action portrayal of the iconic princess. The Seven Dwarfs also make an appearance. The teaser reveals the film’s rendition on the classic song, Whistle While You Work, originally written by Frank Churchill and Larry Morey. Zegler is seen joyfully singing and dancing with the dwarfs, clad in Snow White’s iconic blue and yellow gown.

Another standout moment in the teaser is Gadot’s chilling portrayal of Evil Queen. She makes a memorable appearance, delivering the famous line, “Magic mirror on the wall…who’s the fairest one of all?”

The teaser was shared by Disney Studios on Instagram along with the caption, “Disney invites you to return to the story that started it all Experience #SnowWhite, only in theaters March 21, 2025.”

Zegler and Gadot, both present at D23, shared their excitement about their roles in the film.

Zegler, expressing her gratitude for playing the role of the iconic princess, said, “It’s been the honour of a lifetime I think any young person, any little girl if you get to put on a Disney princess dress and be her for a day let alone six months… it’s just been the most amazing experience and I can’t wait to share it with you all.”

Reflecting on her role as the Evil Queen, Gadot said, “It was a lot of fun to get to do something that is completely different than anything I’ve ever done before. She’s delicious, she’s evil, she’s magical. We got to sing all these different songs. It was incredible.”

Snow White is a live-action adaptation of Walt Disney’s 1937 animated classic, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This timeless story revolves around the young Snow White, who is forced to flee the castle after her stepmother, the Evil Queen, becomes consumed by jealousy over her beauty. The Queen orders the Huntsman to end Snow White’s life. Snow White escapes into a forest where she finds refuge in a cottage belonging to seven dwarves.

In the remake, Ansu Kabia stars as the Huntsman, while Andrew Burnap plays the new role of Pince Jonathan.
