Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari recently got engaged in Telangana. They surprised fans by confirming the news on Instagram, amid rumours of a secret marriage. At a Galatta Golden Stars event, Siddharth openly discussed their engagement. They chose not to announce it beforehand, leading to speculation. Later, they clarified on Instagram with a photo of their engagement rings. During the event, he said that there’s a difference between privacy and secrecy.
“Many told me we had done this (get engaged) in secret. There’s a big difference between doing something privately with family and in secret. The ones whom we didn’t invite think it’s a secret, but the ones who were there know it was private,” said Siddharth, as reported by HT.
Siddharth had everyone in splits when asked about the magical moment Aditi said yes to his proposal. He cheekily said that one shouldn’t care when she said yes, as long as she did. “These questions on how long it took (for her to say yes) shouldn’t be asked. The end result must be either yes or no, pass or fail. I was worried whether it would be a yes, luckily I passed. The wedding date will depend on the elders (of the family) and what they say. It isn’t like a shooting date I can decide on, it’s a lifetime date. It will happen at the right time once they decide,” he said.
Although the rumoured couple have been spotted on many occasions together, they have refrained from speaking about their relationship status in public. On March 28, Aditi dropped engagement photo with Siddharth. In the photo, they held each other close and Aditi flaunted a diamond ring. Siddharth sported a gold band on his ring finger with magenta detailing. Captioning the photo, Aditi wrote, “He said yes! ❤️ E. N. G. A. G. E. D.”
Aditi Rao Hydari and Telugu actor Siddharth first met on the set of the 2021 film Maha Samudram. Despite the movie not receiving much praise, it brought them together. Rumours mills were abuzz that they fell in love during filming.
