Sagarika Ghatge: Meet The Gorgeous, Talented Fiancee of Zaheer Khan

As soon as the news of Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge engagement was confirmed with the stars taking to their official Instagram accounts, wishes started pouring in from their fans, relatives and colleagues. Both Zaheer and Sagarrika shared an adorable photo with equally adorable messages. While Zaheer wrote, "Never laugh at your wife's choices. You are one of them !!! Partners for life. #engaged @sagarikavghatge," Sagarika posted, "Partners for life. #engaged."

Zaheer and Ghatge have reportedly been dating each other for quite some time now, but neither of them had confirmed their relationship status.

While most of us know bride-to-be Sagarika as the Chak De girl, here’s a quick lowdown on some of the interesting facts about her:

She has her roots in Kolhapur as her father Vijaysingh is related to the royal family of Kolhapur.

She was barely eight when she was shifted to a boarding school in Ajmer, Rajasthan.

She bagged the Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Chak De! India

Her portrayal of character Preeti Sabarwal, a fictional member of the Indian women's national hockey team, in Chak De! India helped her become the brand ambassador of Reebok India.

She played Urvashi Mathur in 2009 film Fox. Written and directed by Deepak Tijori, the film also featured Arjun Rampal in the lead role.

She bagged her first role as a protagonist opposite Emraan Hashmi in the film Rush which was released on October 24, 2012.

Ghatge was also seen in Satish Rajwade's Marathi movie Premachi Goshta which also featured actor Atul Kulkarni. The film was released in February 2013.

In October 2015, Sagarika was featured as the female protagonist in the Punjabi movie Dildariyaan.

Sagarika was recently seen in Irada. Directed by Aparnaa Singh and produced by Falguni Patel and Prince Soni, the film also starred Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi, Divya Dutta, Sharad Kelkar, and Sagarika Ghatge in lead roles.

Sagarika, a fitness ethusiast, was also seen in the sixth season of popular reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
