Ankita Lokhande Jain, a prominent Indian actress known for her role as Archana in Pavitra Rishta (2009-2014), revealed that there was a time when she struggled to find work in television. After leaving the small screen, she transitioned to films, starring in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.

Shaheer Sheikh, famous for his role in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, also experienced a period of unemployment. He shared in an interview that after his show Navya ended, he had to turn to photography to earn a living. He was jobless for almost a year before landing his iconic role of Arjuna in Mahabharat.

Nia Sharma, known for her roles in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Jamai Raja, faced a nine-month gap between projects. After Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai ended, she struggled to find work, which she described as a difficult period she never wants to experience again.

Dilip Joshi, who is now a household name thanks to his role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, also faced a challenging time. He revealed that before getting his role in Taarak Mehta, he was jobless for a year. This period of unemployment occurred after a previous show he was part of went off the air.

Sumona Chakravarti, last seen on The Kapil Sharma Show, has also spoken about her unemployment. In a candid Instagram post, she talked about how she doesn’t have a job but feels privileged to support herself and her family. Sumona also shared her ongoing battle with endometriosis, emphasizing the challenges she faces.

Reem Shaikh, who starred in Tujhse Hai Raabta, revealed that she didn’t have a job for almost two years after her role in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. She described this period as a break, not by choice but due to the lack of work opportunities.
