Popular television celebrity Rakhi Sawant has been making headlines for the past few days. While often creating controversies with her bold statements, weird social media antics and relationships, Rakhi Sawant is back in the spotlight but this time, due to her health conditions. The actress grabbed everyone’s attention after reports claimed that she was hospitalised. Her brother, Rakesh Sawant, confirmed the same to the media. Later, her ex-husband, Ritesh Singh, took to social media and shared that Rakhi underwent surgery to remove a tumour from her uterus.
Amid all the claims and reports, a formal statement has come from her doctor, who shared insight about her status. Speaking to Times Now, gynecologist Dr Surabhi Kokate shared that she and her team are taking care of Rakhi Sawant. While confirming that the actress did undergo surgery, she, however, refused to disclose any further details about her condition or her diagnosis without the hospital’s permission.
The surgery was conducted at Kokate’s private clinic located in Mumbai’s DN Nagar, where the doctor continues to practice.
Earlier, the actress herself informed the media about a 10-cm tumour in her uterus, expressing hope for a quick recovery. “I will be fine soon. There is a 10 cm tumour and I will be operated on on Saturday. I am not able to talk much, but Ritesh will keep you updated,” she said. Further praising her doctors for their efforts, she added, “Doctors are the best here, and they are doing their job perfectly. I’ve never given up on life and have fought many obstacles and battles since childhood. I am going to fight in the operation theatre as well. I know nothing is going to happen to me, as I’ve got my mother’s blessings with me, she’s there with me. I am a fighter, and I’ll come back, nothing will happen to me. Chota sa tumour hi toh hai nikal jayega. I’ll come back and dance and sing. I’ll entertain people again.”
Rakhi Sawant’s ex-husband, Ritesh Singh, shared a video from the hospital showing her in a wheelchair, seemingly before she was taken for surgery. Later, he also confirmed that the surgery was successful and that the tumour had been sent for biopsy.
Amid the health issues, another scare has come around as reports claim that Rakhi Sawant has been receiving threatening calls. While Ritesh has already confirmed it to the media, the actress’ lawyer, Falguni Brahmbhatt, has also revealed details. Talking to ETimes, she shared that some have called her to threaten and intimidate her.
