Seems like Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is stepping into the role of ‘Ken’s Barbie’ as she anticipates the arrival of her baby girl with her partner, Ken Urker. Blanchard, who captured headlines due to the harrowing events surrounding her mother’s death, is now embracing a brighter chapter in her life. Since announcing her pregnancy earlier this year, she has been delighting fans with regular updates on her journey to motherhood, offering glimpses into this new journey through her social media.

In a recent Instagram post, Blanchard displayed her excitement, posing with a pink Barbie sweatshirt, which she plans to match with her daughter once she is born.

“So cute! matching mother-daughter Barbie Sweatshirts. We will be Ken’s Barbie girls," she captioned the post.

On July 9, Blanchard shared an update in a YouTube video, revealing that she was 11 weeks pregnant with her and Urker’s first child.

In August, the couple revealed the gender of their baby with a heartwarming video, where they popped open balloons to release pink confetti. In a touching moment, Blanchard and Urker addressed the camera to introduce themselves to their unborn daughter, saying, “Sweetie, I’m your mom," followed by Urker adding, “I’m your dad." Together, they happily announced, “You are a girl!"

Blanchard, who was imprisoned in 2016 for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, shared with People magazine earlier that she was shocked by the news of her pregnancy, saying, “This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we’re both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood."

Blanchard added, “I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn’t."

The couple, who initially got engaged while Blanchard was still behind bars, called off their engagement in 2019. During her incarceration, Blanchard briefly married Ryan Anderson, but the two divorced shortly after her release in December 2023. In June, Urker made the move to Louisiana to be closer to Blanchard, sparking the revival of their relationship.

Blanchard’s traumatic childhood was depicted in the 2019 series, The Act, which aired while she was still in prison. Over the years, she has participated in various interviews, including a notable appearance on Dr. Phil. In 2024, her journey took another turn with the launch of her reality show, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, on Lifetime, where she shares her experiences and growth after serving time.
