Panchayat 4 Confirmed? Director Shares Big Update, Says 'We Have Planned That Already'

Here’s some good news for all the Panchayat fans. While everyone is eagerly waiting for the third season of the superhit show, it has now been revealed that Panchayat will have more seasons in the future. In a recent interview, the show’s director, Deepak Kumar Mishra confirmed the same and revealed that the team has already decided about future seasons as well.

Panchayat 4 Coming Soon? 

“We never let ourselves get swayed by the response we are getting, but from Season 2, we have a broader idea of where the story is going and how many seasons it will take to tell that story. So, we have planned that already,” he told Bollywood Hungama.

The director reiterated that the show will continue and added, “Now, the garnishing and detailing that we have to do is done from season to season. But we have a broad idea of where things are going to go.”

What Do We Know About Panchayat? 

Panchayat stars Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik and Neena Gupta among others in key roles. While the first Panchayat show was released in April 2020, the second season premiered on Prime Video in May 2022.

Panchayat 3 To Bring More Challenges For ‘Sachiv Ji’

Earlier this month, the trailer of Panchayat 3 was released which left netizens super excited about the upcoming show. It revealed a new secretary is coming to the district this season. However, due to some circumstances old secretary Jitendra Kumar was called back. In the new season, everyone is trying to uplift their image as the Panchayat elections are on head. It will be interesting to see how they will manage and how Jitendra will help them.

Recently, Jitendra Kumar also opened up about becoming a household name with Panchayat when he told the news agency IANS, “I have always lived a simple village life. There is always chaos during the shoot of any project. I find the village life very peaceful. Whenever I return from the shoot, I miss the simplicity and feel nostalgic. I enjoy Phulera (the fictional village in ‘Panchayat’) a lot for this.”

“A lot of opportunities come to me and I get a chance to be part of good films. Of course, becoming a household name is exciting but I never aimed for it and finally, it’s happening which is good for my work,” the actor added.

Panchayat season 3 will release on May 28, 2024.
