On Her 49th Birthday, Ektaa Kapoor Seeks Blessings At Siddhivinayak Temple

Ektaa Kapoor has carved a niche for herself in the Indian entertainment circuit. The producer-director has struck the right chords with the audience through popular television shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kumkum Bhagya, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Naagin. On June 7, Ektaa Kapoor celebrated her 49th birthday.

To mark the special day, she paid a visit to the Siddhivinayak Temple in Dadar, Mumbai to seek blessings. A video of the television producer arriving at the holy shrine was recently shared on social media. In the video dropped on Instagram by paparazzo account Varinder Chawla, Ektaa Kapoor was seen walking towards the temple premises. She was clad in an ethnic ensemble featuring a white kurta with subtle embroidery. She paired the outfit with white straight pants and a dupatta. Her hair was left open. The producer was welcomed by a member of the Siddhivinayak Temple who accompanied her inside the shrine.

After wrapping up her darshan, Ektaa Kapoor was seen exiting the temple. She sported a tilak on her forehead. Ektaa addressed the paparazzi outside and posed for pictures patiently. She was commemorated with a saffron scarf and offered a bouquet of flowers. People gathered around her to click pictures with the television star. After attending to the shutterbugs and her fans, Ektaa waved them goodbye.

Another video has surfaced on the internet which shows a glimpse of Ektaa Kapoor performing rituals and offering prayers inside the Siddhivinayak Temple. The priest was seen applying a tilak and wrapping a cloth around her neck. Ektaa was also offered flowers, followed by prasad and an idol of Ganesha as a gift. Take a look at the video below:

Ektaa Kapoor seems to be a spiritual person at heart. Not too long ago she dropped a video montage on Instagram documenting her visit to Venkateswara Swami Temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The clip featured her posing in front of the temple. There was also a snippet of the producer cutting a chocolate cake on the occasion of her birthday. “VENKATRAMANA GOVINDA! Will message everyone back soon!!! Thank you for the love,” she captioned the post.

On the work front, Ektaa Kapoor co-produced director Rajesh A Krishnan’s film Crewstarring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, Tabu and Diljit Dosanjh. Her next project is a thriller film The Sabarmati Report which features Vikrant Massey. The film is set to release in theatres on August 2.
