Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, is a successful entrepreneur at the age of just 26. The star kid co-founded Aara Health and also started the NGO Project Naveli in her early twenties. In an industry where most star kids follow in their family’s footsteps, Navya decided to carve her own path. However, rumours about her making acting debut grabs headlines every now and then.
Navya’s mother, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, has finally clarified that the star kid has no acting aspirations. During a recent event, Shweta was asked about her daughter Navya making an entry into Bollywood. “I think you are very well acquainted with the work Navya does, and she has her hands full,” Shweta was quoted as saying by Pinkvilla. “I don’t think Bollywood is the way to go for her,” she added.
In a recent interview to ETimes, Navya opened up about coming from “privileged” background and how it played a role in her career. Navya joined her father Nikhil Nanda’s business at 21.
A“My upbringing has shaped who I am, like it does for everyone,” Navya said in the interview. “When we talk about being an entrepreneur at 21, I owe a lot of that to the privilege and where I come from. A lot of opportunities that I got are because of my privileged background, and I hope in my own way and through my hard work, I can create those opportunities for myself one day. I am very grateful for everything I have been given. I think I’ve more than I deserve at times, so for me, it is important to see how I can turn around those opportunities and resources I have available, and share those with others and maximise it.”
