Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna presented Aishwarya Rai with the Best Actress Award at the IIFA Utsavam 2024. The ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi over the weekend and she was presented with the award for her performance in Ponniyin Selvan 2. In a video that surfaced online, NBK stood on stage and presented the IIFA trophy to Aishwarya Rai.
The Bollywood actress, who played a double role in Mani Ratnam’s film, gracefully walked up to the stage to accept her award. However, before accepting the award, Aishwarya touched Balakrishna’s feet. The Telugu star blessed her and gave her the award. The video has won the internet. Watch it below:

The actress also turned presenter for the Best Director category. She presented Mani Ratnam with the Best Director award, for his work on Ponniyin Selvan 2. The actress was visibly excited while making the announcement and touched his feet when he arrived on stage.

Speaking to the media at IIFA, Aishwarya expressed her gratitude: “He’s my guru. From the beginning, I’ve been grateful to work with Mani Ratnam. It’s an honor to have played Nandini in Ponniyin Selvan and to share this success with our team.”
IIFA Utsavam 2024 took place on Friday night. The actress attended the award show and returned home the following day. She was spotted with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. Other members of the Bachchan family were visibly missing at the ceremony. They are yet to comment on her win as well.
Meanwhile, Vikram secured the Best Actor (Tamil) award for his exceptional performance in Ponniyin Selvan 2. Other major winners of the night included Rajinikanth’s Jailer, which won Best Picture (Tamil), and Nani, who took home the Best Actor (Telugu) award for Dasara.
