Mysuru Yuva Dasara 2024: Ilaiyaraaja's Message To Fans In Kannada Wins Internet's Heart

The city of Mysuru is currently hosting the famous Yuva Dasara Festival, which had its inauguration ceremony on October 6. Renowned artists like Shreya Ghoshal, Ravi Basrur and Baadshah have already performed on stage and the podium is now open to two of Indian cinema’s biggest musicians, Ilaiyaraaja and AR Rahman.

AR Rahman’s show is scheduled for October 9 while Ilaiyaraaja will perform on October 10. This will be the first time that both musical geniuses will perform at the Yuva Dasara 2024.

Ahead of his performance, Ilaiyaraaja has won the hearts of his Kannada fans through a video he posted on his social media handle, where he addresses them in Kannada. The video has been going viral where he spoke about his invitation to the Mysore Dasara celebrations.

In the video, Ilayaraja said, “Hello everyone, the Mysore Dussehra programme is going on. Goddess Chamundi has graced this occasion, and she is inviting me to Mysore Dussehra. They have not only invited me but also my entire team. With the blessings of Devi, I hope the program will go well.” He concluded by saying, “I want to see you, and you want to see me.” This message has resonated with his fans, adding excitement to the festival and his participation in the grand Mysore Dussehra event.

Mysuru Yuva Dasara 2024 has taken a melodious start at the expansive 100-acre venue near Uttanahalli on the outskirts of Mysuru. The Yuva Dasara subcommittee announced that special VIP seating arrangements will be available near the stage for Rs 8,000. Additionally, tickets for the premium gallery will be priced at Rs 5,000. Previously, access to the premium gallery was exclusive to individuals with VIP passes and gold cards. This change aims to enhance accessibility for attendees looking to enjoy the festivities from prime locations during the celebrations.
