Actor Chadwick Boseman, star of Marvel Studios’ film Black Panther passed away at the age of 43 on Saturday. Family, fans, and co-stars have been mourning the loss and are remembering the actor by sharing their fond memories with him. Paying tribute to the talented actor, Marvel Studios shared a four-minute-forty-three-seconds video on their official social media handles. Titled, A Tribute for a King, the video includes behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews from Boseman’s time as Black Panther. It also has clips of him attending the comic-cons and other promotional events.
While Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios called Boseman an amazing actor in the video, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler says the latter was incredible and gifted.
The video also includes clips of actors like Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson. The video snippets are from the video interviews during the shooting of films such as — Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.
Praising Boseman for the nuance he brought to his performance as King T-Challa of Wakanda, Scarlett Johansson said his presence on the sets raised the stake for everybody, whereas, RDJ acknowledged him as a part of culture and symbol. Adoring Boseman’s for the energy he brought to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Evans called him a powerhouse.
The video also included his Black Panther co-actors — Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o — talking about him.
The best was kept for the last. Towards the end of the video, the audience gets to hear Boseman sharing his experience of playing the character and how extraordinary it was for him to be part of a film that meant so much to so many people. “I kept asking myself, is it valuable in this climate… I think it is.. it gives people hope,” says Boseman in the video.
At heart, the video echoes of pride and fellowship that Chadwick Boseman brought with him both on and off-screen. The special not only highlights Boseman’s far-reaching impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe but the world as the character — and movie — became a cultural phenomenon, inspiring millions of fans around the globe. It is a reminder of how he was a fan favourite and did so much more than playing a superhero. He will always be our king, Wakanda Forever!

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016, however, he did not divulge details about it in the pubic. The actor delivered back to back films from Marshall to Da 5 Blood amid numerous surgeries and chemotherapy. He died in his home with his wife and family by his side.
