Movie critics might have panned Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight, but Matin Rey Tangu, the little boy in the film, managed to impress critics and viewers alike. He was just another child artiste in Bollywood until he shut down a 'racist' question at a press meet recently and won the hearts of almost everyone with his spontaneous wit and innocence.
Salman Khan, who refers to him as the superstar of Itanagar, decided to introduce him to the world by sharing his audition footage on Twitter. In the video, Matin can be seen memorising the lines in Hindi to emoting a range of expressions.

The 5-year-old actor hails from Arunachal Pradesh and managed to make the cut leaving behind over 400 kids for the part. Harshaali Malhotra, who played Munni in Salman Khan-starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan , shot to fame soon after the film released. Whether Matin will experience the same success, only time will tell.

Directed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight also features Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and Salman's brother Sohail Khan in lead roles.
