Kriti Sanon Sends Big Love To Varun Dhawan's 'Fauji' In Border 2
Varun Dhawan stated that it was a momentous occasion for him to be working with Sunny Deol. The actor will play an army person in JP and Nidhi Dutta's war film.

Ever since the sequel to the classic 1997 war film Border was announced in June this year, there has been a lot of buzz around who the makers will cast and the plot. Sunny Deol, who was an integral part of the first installment, returns with a new fervour in Border 2 but other details for the film were kept under wraps. In the latest, it has been revealed that Varun Dhawan is joining the cast of Border 2 and his fans surely can’t keep calm. Among others, TV star Nakuul Mehta, Kriti Sanon and others also reacted to the news.

Varun Dhawan announced that he is joining the cast of Border 2 with a short welcome teaser. He stated that it was a momentous occasion for him to be working with Sunny Deol. The actor will play an army person in JP and Nidhi Dutta’s war film. Nakuul Mehta reacted to the post with an emoji representing a salute to the actor. Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya co-star, Kriti Sanon, reacted to the post and commented, “All the Besttt.” Fashion designer Manish Malhotra also reacted with a heart emoji on the post.

In the clip shared by Varun, the actor is seen saying in the background, “Dushman ki har goli se Jai Hind bol kar takrata hoon, jab dharti maa bulati hai, sab chhod kar aata hoon.” The teaser also lauds the Border franchise as “India’s Biggest War Film Gets Bigger.”

Varun Dhawan also revealed that he was in fourth grade when he went to Chandan Cinemas to watch Border. He felt proud since the film had had a significant influence. The actor admired our armed services and claimed that J.P. Dutta sir’s war epic Border was his favourite film. He further added, “To play a part in Border 2 produced by J P sir and Bhushan Kumar is a very, very special moment in my career. And I get to work with Sunny Paaji, my hero makes it all the more special. I look forward to bringing a valiant jawaan’s story to screen in what promises to be India’s biggest war film.”

Border 2 will be directed by Anurag Singh. Border celebrated its 27th anniversary on June 13, 2024, and the filmmakers announced plans to make the sequel.
