Kartik Aaryan is currently on a roll. The actor has multiple projects in his kitty and is currently awaiting the release of his highly anticipated next Chandu Champion. While the actor is busy promoting the film, buzz is that, he is in talks for Sooraj Barjatya for an upcoming family entertainer. Reportedly, one round of meetings have already taken place between the two, and more discussions are yet to take place after Chandu Champion.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, Salman Khan chose to back out of Prem Ki Shaadi, and now Sooraj Barjatya is all set to start casting for his next directorial, which is also a drama set against the backdrop of nuclear families. The source close to the development shared Barjatya has initiated conversations with Kartik Aaryan for his next feature film.
“Sooraj Barjatya is on look-out for an actor who brings in a sense of innocence on the screen and feels that Kartik has it in him to be the new-age on-screen Prem. The things are in a very preliminary stage at this point of time,” revealed a source close to the development. While one round of meetings have already taken place, more conversations will take place after the release of Chandu Champion on June 14.”
The source further revealed that, Kartik has liked the idea. “Kartik has heard the idea and is interested in doing the film, however, is waiting to hear the complete script before signing the dotted lines. There will be a clear picture on the casting of Sooraj Barjatya’s next by Mid-July, once the full-fledged narration takes place.”
Coming back to Chandu Champion, the film is inspired by the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. The film follows Kartik Aaryan’s transformation from a young guy to a soldier, boxer and, finally, a survivor.
The film’s trailer was launched at Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior, Kartik’s hometown. The Chandu Champion trailer is packed with emotional moments, intense action, a glimpse of an epic war sequence, and the extraordinary journey of a man who refused to give up. It also gives the viewers a glimpse into the vast world of Chandu Champion and shows Kartik Aaryan’s astonishing transformation into a soldier, boxer, and wrestler, emphasising his undying commitment.
Apart from this, Kartik Aaryan is currently shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film also stars Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan. Well, reportedly the actor and Triptii has singed another film. Producer Bhushan Kumar, in an interview with Zoom, spilled the beans about the upcoming film. While there have been rumours that Kartik and Triptti will be working together for Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3, Kumar cleared the air around it and revealed that they are ‘not making Aashiqui 3’ right now. Reportedly, the team is working on another film that is expected to go on floors by July. He shared, “It’ll be directed by Anurag Basu.”
Bhushan further added, “The name ‘Aashiqui’ is not there for this film. When we were making Aashiqui 3, it was not working out. So, now we are making another romantic movie, which Anurag dada is directing. Kartik and Triptii are a part of it.”
