In light of the Lok Sabha elections, several Bollywood celebrities took part in a quirky social media campaign to urge people to cast their votes. Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, Pritam and Ahsaas Channa among others took to their social media to ask people to vote about things like which type of beard suited them, what was their best composition, etc. Now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reacted to this campaign.
Siddharth Malhotra took to his account on X, previously known as Twitter, to share a compilation video of the celebrities asking their fans to vote in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi then shared the video and wrote, “Absolutely! Do go out and vote.”

For the unversed, Vikrant Massey had earlier taken to Instagram and asked fans to vote which look suited him best among beard, no beard and stubble. Neha Kakkar had asked fans to decide if she looked better with long or short hair. Pritam had asked which of his songs was the best among Kesariya, Kabira, Channa Mereya and Phir Le Aaya Dil.
Boman Irani had asked fans to vote for his favourite dish among Boman Biryani, Boman Phirni and Boman Panini. Karan Johar had asked if “sach main pyaar dosti hai”. The celebrities then said that since their fans took the time to vote about these things, they should also take the time to vote in the Lok Sabha elections.
They said that the results of these elections will impact their lives for five years. They added that the results will not only impact their lives but also the lives of their kids and parents. They urged their fans to “vote where it matters”.
The polling for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 began on April 19. The results will be announced on June 4 this year.
