Kajal Aggarwal All Set To Join Vishnu Manchu-starrer Kannappa

Telugu star Vishnu Manchu’s highly- anticipated movie Kannappa has been in the headlines for a long time. Recently, Akshay Kumar joined the cast of the Telugu biggie, which has delighted the fans. Now, a top Tollywood actress has reportedly entered the world of Kannappa. According to the latest reports, Kajal Aggarwal has also joined the cast, and an official announcement about the same will be made soon.

However, Kajal and Vishnu Manchu had shared screens previously on Mosagallu. However, the project did not run well at the box office. Kajal is one of the most sought-after names in Telugu cinema. She has worked on popular projects like Yevadu, Magadheera, ‘Awe, Singham, and Bhagavath Kesari, to name a few.

She is currently shooting for the upcoming Tamil-language vigilante action film Indian 2, the sequel to the 1996 Kaamal Hassan-starrer, Indian. Kamal Haasan reprises his role as the main lead. Apart from that, it also stars Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, S. J. Suryah, Bobby Simha, Vivek, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, her association with Kannappa has created a buzz all over the internet.

A few days ago, on March 8, the makers unveiled the breathtaking first look on their social media handles. It features the protagonist, Vishnu Manchu’s character, emerging from a cascading waterfall holding a bow and an arrow in his hand and an intense expression on his face. The poster hints at major action sequences in the movie.

The tweet reads, “This Mahashivaratri, dive into the tale of Shiva’s greatest devotee as we unveil the first look of Kannappa. Experience the journey of the bravest warrior and the biggest devotee as this epic tale comes to life.”

As per reports, the movie will star Baahubali fame Prabhas and has roped in Kangana Ranaut as well. Reports suggest Prabhas is set to essay the role of Lord Shiva.

This upcoming period drama is directed by Mukesh Singh and the second schedule of the shoot is currently underway in New Zealand.

As per information, Vishnu Manchu’s son, Avram, will debut in the movie. In addition, renowned Hollywood cinematographer Sheldon Chow is also a part of the team. This pan-Indian movie is backed jointly by 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment.

The film also reportedly features Mohan Babu, Kriti Sanon, Nayanthara, Madhoo, Shiva Rajkumar, and R. Sarathkumar in important roles.
