Telugu superstar Jr NTR visited his grandfather’s memorial, NTR Ghat, on Tuesday to mark the late actor-turned-politician’s 101st birth anniversary. Tarak was joined by his half-brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. In a video shared on X, the Devara star was seen at the memorial with folded hands. He then sat on the ground with Kalyan and observed a moment of silence. The RRR star remained unfazed by the crowd around him.

Many family members of Jr NTR’s family followed his lead to the NTR Ghat. NTR’s son, actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna was also spotted at the ghat. He arrived with his team and offered his respects to his late father. Watch the videos below:

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) was a legendary actor, filmmaker and politician. He served as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms. In addition, he starred in 300 movies and won three National Awards. He died on January 18, 1996, at his Hyderabad residence.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Tarak has several projects in the making. He has been busy filming Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham. Despite a hectic shooting schedule, the RRR star took a break from work and he returned to Hyderabad to cast his vote in the Lok Sabha 2024 elections on May 13.

The actor also has Devara: Part 1 in the making. The film is helmed by Koratala Siva, is scheduled for nationwide release on 10th October, 2024. Besides the RRR actor, this film boasts a stellar star cast, starring actors like Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. Marathi actress Shruti Marathe has been roped in to play the role of Jr NTR’s wife.
