JR NTR Expresses Gratitude To Andhra Government For Devara Ticket Price Hike
In multiplexes, the ticket rate could increase by Rs 135. The upper-class tickets could be increased by Rs 110 more, and lower-class tickets could be raised by Rs 60.

Jr NTR’s first solo lead in eight years will be coming in the form of the highly anticipated film Devara in theatres worldwide on September 27. It is written and directed by Koratala Siva. Apart from Jr NTR, the film also marks the debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the Telugu film industry. The film is reportedly made with a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film has done a pre-release business of Rs 180 crore with advance ticket bookings and pre-sales worldwide.

It is also worth noting that this is the first high-budget Telugu film which is set to hit the screens after the change in the Andhra Pradesh government. It was anticipated that certain benefits would be given by CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan to Devara makers. These expectations were fulfilled by the government as they issued a notice approving a considerable hike in ticket prices and screening special early shows with Andhra Pradesh. Jr NTR shares a gratitude note to the government for special allowances.

Before Devara’s release, the Andhra government increased the ticket prices in the state. The GO stated that the multiplexes could increase the ticket rates by Rs 135. The upper-class tickets could be increased by Rs 110 more, and lower-class tickets could be raised by Rs 60. Ticket price was not the only benefit for Jr NTR’s Devara.

The additional advantage for the makers of Devara is that the government has allowed the screening of six special shows on the release day, beginning at midnight. The five extra shows start from the second day. Acknowledging the special allowance, actor Jr NTR responded with a gratitude message. He thanked the Andhra CM and Deputy CM, Pawan Kalyan for sanctioning 6 shows per day and the revised ticket prices.

He also thanked Cinematography Minister Kandula Lakshmi Durgesh Prasad for the benefits. “My heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable CM, Sri @NCBN garu, and Honourable Deputy CM, Sri @PawanKalyan garu of the Andhra Pradesh government for passing the new G.O. for the #Devara release and your continued support of Telugu cinema.” wrote Jr NTR. Take a look at the post:
