The first-ever directorial film of actor Joju George, Pani, is all set to hit the cinemas. Written and directed by Joju, the film has been garnering attention from the very beginning. According to latest reports, the film has a massive line-up of as many as sixty new faces onboard. It is said that about 60 selected junior artists have been trained in the film for three months. The audiences are eagerly anticipating this upcoming release. The shooting of the film was wrapped up in February. The second look poster for Pani has been released. It is now garnering attention on social media. Joju George, Abhay Hiranmayi, Prashant Alex, Sujith Shankar and others are seen in the poster of the film, which is waiting to hit theatres soon after the post-production is completed.
As the film is directed by Joju George, it has attracted a lot of attention. The first-look poster of the film earlier went viral on social media. The 56-second clip just reveals the looks of the characters of the movie and a tagline that says, ‘An eye for an eye.’ Silamabarasan TR shared the first look on his social media handle and wished the team success. The plot is yet to be revealed officially, but the film is based on the rivalry between two gangs in Thrissur, Kerala.
The film features former contestants of Bigg Boss Malayalam, Sagar Surya and Junaiz in prominent roles. Rinosh George, Seema, Chandhini Sreedharan, Abhinaya, Babu Namboothiri, Abhaya Hiranmayi, Prashanth Alexander, Sujith Shanker, Ranjith Velayudhan, and Bitto Davis, among others, are also in the film. The cinematography is done by Sam CS and Vishnu Vijay, while the editing is by Manu Antony.
The project is being produced by M Riyas Adam and Sijo Vadkan under the banner of Joju’s own production company, Appu Pathu Pappu Productions, AD Studios and Sri Gokulam Movies. Joju George will also appear in Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Thug Life, which is directed by Mani Ratnam. He will also appear in Suriya’s still unnamed film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. He is also entering the pan-Indian level with Anurag Kashyap’s Bollywood film.
