Veteran Bollywood actress-political Jaya Bachchan made her way to a Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai that is managed by Kajol and Rani Mukerji. On Thursday morning, videos surfaced online showing Jaya Bachchan dressed in a yellow saree and interacting with fellow devotees. The actress’s visit to the pandal comes on the eve of her husband, superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s 82nd birthday.

Jaya visits the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Pandal every year. This year, the pandal has shifted its base from the iconic Tulip Star Hotel to the grounds of the SNDT University in Juhu. Jaya is likely to join Rani and Kajol in the prayers. Watch the videos below:

This year Kajol and Rani will be hosting the Durga Puja pandal near SNDT Women’s University in Juhu. Popularly known as North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal, the actresses host grand celebrations to welcome Maa Durga. Last year, during the festivities, the Dilwale actress was snapped seeking the blessing of the Goddess at the Durga Puja pandal along with her son Yug. They were seen serving devotees at the prasaad and interacting with the crowd.

Besides Jaya Bachchan, several other stars make their way to the pandal every year. Sumona Chakravarti, Ishita Dutta, Vatsal Seth, Tanisha Mukerji and Sharvari are a few regulars at the pandal.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The actress has been busy with her political career this year. Earlier this year, she made the headlines when she objected to being called ‘Jaya Amitabh Bachchan’ in the Rajya Sabha, despite the name being mentioned in her candidate form.
