Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor shared her desire to show Mahendra Singh Dhoni aka MS Dhoni her upcoming film, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi. However, there seems to be a roadblock she and team of the film are facing. The actress opened up about her wish at the launch of the film’s new song, Dekha Tenu. Seated with Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi said, that she hopes to show the film to Dhoni but seems like he is too busy.
“Of course we want to show this film to MS Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Dhoni but he is very busy, I’m sure. You also please help,” Janhvi Kapoor said, urging the media to help spread the word. Director Sharan Sharma added, “One of the biggest reasons to make the film.”
Janhvi also revealed she recently met him at an event and was moved by his gesture towards his fans. “I recently met him at a function. He doesn’t feel like a regular person. He wasn’t walking, he was gliding through the room. And that image has remained in my head. Whoever was asking him for a picture, he wasn’t just taking selfie with him and moving on, he was having a conversation with respect,” she said.
Rajkummar also said he is a fan of the cricketer. “Hum kya, puri duniya unki bahut badi fan hai. Bahut zyada pasand hai hume Mahi sir, bahut pyaar karte hai unhe,” he said.
Directed by Sharan Sharma, known for his debut with ‘Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl (2020), Mr And Mrs Mahi will mark Janhvi Kapoor’s fourth theatrical release, following Dhadak (2018), Roohi (2021), and Mili (2022). She is set to star in two more films this year, the political thriller ‘Ulajh’ and the Pan India project ‘Devara’ alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. For Rajkummar Rao, after ‘Srikanth’ and ‘Mr And Mrs Mahi,’ his upcoming 2024 releases include ‘Stree 2′ and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.’
