Mohanlal and director Tharun Moorthy are collaborating for the first time on the highly anticipated yet-to-be-titled film. The 360th project of Mohanlal has been tentatively titled L360. Reportedly, it is nearing the end of its shoot, with Mohanlal participating in the final scheduled sessions. The official title of L360 is expected to be unveiled soon by the makers.
Taking to Instagram, the director shared a video showcasing Mohanlal during this concluding phase of filming. The caption of the post read, “Welcome #L the Brand." He also added the hashtags #L360 and #Finalschedule with the post, signalling the project’s nearing completion. The actor was seen in simple shirt and pant attire, which will probably be for his character in the film.
In another Instagram post, Moorthy also shared the timeline of the shoot of the film till now. “Kickstart The Final schedule. Ranni –>> Thodupuzha –>>Wagmon–>> Chennai. Kilometres and kilometres," he wrote. For the hashtags, he used #Mohanlal and #L360 with the series of pictures.
The upcoming project marks the reunion of Mohanlal and Shobana after 15 years. The duo last appeared in the 2009 film Sagar Alias Jacky. It is written by Tharun Moorthy and KR Sunil, while M Renjith of Rejaputhra Visual Media is bankrolling the film. The shooting of the film started in April this year.
In the film, Mohanlal plays the role of a taxi driver named Shanmugham. According to reports, his character is emotionally attached to his old ambassador car and also has generalized anxiety disorder. The film also stars Farhaan Faasil, Thomas Mathew, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Binu Pappu and Maniyanpilla Raju, among others.
Earlier, the makers shared the behind-the-scenes (BTS) video on YouTube. “Join us behind the scenes of our film, L360, starring Mohanlal and Shobana! Filmed over 70 days in the picturesque locale of Thodupuzha, this exclusive video takes you deep into the heart of our production journey," the caption of the video read.
