'It Took 35 Days To Shoot An Underwater Sequence In Devara': Jr NTR
Devara Part 1 marks the Telugu debut of Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.

Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan starrer Devara Part 1 is all set to hit the cinema halls on September 27. Recently, the film’s director and writer Koratala Siva and the cast sat down with the filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga for an interview. In this interview, Jr NTR talked about an underwater sequence in Devara Part 1. Sandeep said to the 41-year-old actor that they made a separate pool in Hyderabad for the sequence.

Jr NTR agreed with it and said that they shot for an action sequence in a massive pool for about 30-35 days underwater. According to the Devara Part 1 actor, they also had a water tank with a measurement of 200 by 150. Jr NTR said, “We had one option of shooting it in Kapoli because that was one of the biggest pools we had. And then, for some strange reason, we decided to overspend and create a pool in the studio, in which we were shooting for predominantly our action sequences. Underwater, over the water, underwater, over the water." He called it a phenomenal episode and said that it is one of the most key sequences of Devara.

Jr NTR also talked about Devara’s action sequences during the trailer launch in Mumbai. The 41-year-old actor said that the last half hour or 40 minutes of the film are going to rock everyone. Jr NTR mentioned that Devara is not only his first film since RRR but it is also his first solo release as the Telugu leading star after six years. According to him, it has built up his nervous energy. However, the 41-year-old actor added, that he is eager to see showcase the trailer and film for fans.

Devara Part 1 marks the Telugu debut of Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. This film also stars Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Murli Sharma, Shruti Marathe and others. It will be released in its original Telugu version and will also be dubbed and screened in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Backed by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, Devara Part 1 has been shot in Goa. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has presented this film. Devara Part 1 is Jr NTR’s only film since the release of the worldwide hit RRR directed by SS Rajamouli.
