Despite 9 Consecutive Hits, Thalapathy Vijay Is Struggling To Get A Producer For His Milestone Film
Thalapathy Vijay has delivered multiple hits consecutively at the box office and his films have grossed over Rs 2,500 crore.

Very few actors have been able to belt out consecutive hits over nine years. One such celebrity is Thalapathy Vijay, whose screen presence, charm, on-screen personality and off-screen connection with his fans make him one of the biggest crowd-pullers. The actor has been grabbing headlines ever since it was reported that the actor will be quitting the industry to focus on his political career. Now, the Leo actor is gearing up for his milestone film, but as per reports, he has no producer to bankroll the film.

Thalapathy Vijay has delivered multiple hits consecutively at the box office and his films have grossed over Rs 2,500 crore. He is the most sought-after actor in the industry. Before quitting, he will be starring in The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) and Thalapathy 69. Despite his stellar performance at the box office, the actor has no producer for his upcoming film. But what can be the reason?

The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) is an upcoming drama that will feature the actor in a dual role. After this, he is all set to gear up for Thalapathy 69. As per reports, the actor is unable to find producers for the film. Reports claim that since Thalapathy 69 will be his final film, he wants complete creative control over the film and is charging a whopping fee of Rs 250 crore. It has deterred a few prospective producers. If the reports are anything to go by, Thalapathy Vijay’s team is in talks with KVN Productions right now, but nothing is concrete right now.

After 2015, Thalapathy Vijay has been busy delivering one hit after another and taking the box office by storm with the collections. He starred in Puli in 2015, which saw an underwhelming response. But his luck changed in 2016 as he starred in Atlee’s Theri which also starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson. He was next seen in Bharathan’s Bairavaa opposite Keerthy Suresh. In the same year, he delivered Mersal, directed by Atlee once again and starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal. In the following years, he was seen in AR Murugadoss’s Sarkar, Atlee’s Bigil, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Master, Nelson Dilipkumar’s Beast, Vamshi Paidipally’s Varisu and once again Lokesh Kanagraj-directed Leo.

Together, these films have minted Rs 2,500 crore at the box office, with Leo managing Rs 600 crore in global earnings and emerging to be the highest-grossing Tamil film of all time.
