Mumbai: 'Ek Villain' star Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in to play the female lead in 'Rock On 2' opposite the previous actors Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal.
'Rock On 2', a sequel of the hit 2008 Indian rock musical film of the same name, will also see Pracchi Desai in a pivotal role.
Debutant director Shujaat Saudagar has come onboard to helm the film, which will be produced by earlier producers Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
"@ShraddhaKapoor welcome aboard to Rock N Roll... #Rockon2#RockOn2... Prachi Desai plays an important part and it's not a special appearance," Sidhwani posted on Twitter.
Shraddha has recently wrapped up the shooting of dance based drama 'ABCD 2'. The actress, who sung 'Galliyan' in 'Ek Villain' and a Kashmiri folk song in 'Haider', is also expected to croon again in 'Rock On 2'.
