It has been nearly three years since the alleged “drama” between actress Emily Ratajkowski and American comedian Celeste Barber. Barber, best known for poking fun at various celebrities by creating different parody videos, even targeted the US supermodel, leaving the latter so upset that she even blocked her on social media. Time has passed since the incident took place, but it seems Ratajkowski is not in the mood to let it go so easily. In a podcast, 42-year-old Celeste Barber sent out a subtle plea to Emily Ratajkowski, sharing that she remains blocked by the model.
The comedian appeared on the recent episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, where she brought up the old topic and said, “I didn’t know for a really long time because people send me her photos. When you’re blocked, you can’t see their stuff. But it’s also the internet; it’s not hard to find stuff.”
Celeste Barber also went on to share how she used to post videos on the supermodel and then found that she was blocked. “So I was like, ‘Oh, that’s boring. Oh, now I can’t do it. Oh, come on, please have a sense of humour. Please have a sense of humour. Oh, you don’t? Okay, I’ll stop,'” she added. During the conversation, she also recalled an instance from a few months ago when she shared a story on Instagram and hashtagged Ratajkowski, trying to get her to unblock her, but in vain.
On the other hand, the supermodel, while addressing their ongoing feud, once said that the whole drama has been blown out of proportion. “In general, I find her to be really funny. But the message I was trying to send to her was, ‘I just don’t want you to do this to me anymore,'” she said on another podcast last year.
What Happened Between Emily Ratajkowski And Celeste Barber?
It began in 2021 when Barber shared a video of herself, comparing her own image with that of Em Rata posing in a bikini.
We are sick of you objectifying our bodies! Also, here’s my ass. pic.twitter.com/MpUoWV8D4h— Celeste barber (@celestebarber_) November 1, 2021
While the intention of the video was to show how most women don’t look like celebrities, it didn’t go well with the model and even many other social media users. Despite the backlash, she continued making videos about Ratajkowski, prompting users to point out the internalised misogyny.
