BTS Launches Music Video of Japanese Single Stay Gold with an Uplifting Message
Boy band BTS has dropped the official music video of the first single from their Japanese album Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey.

K-Pop group BTS has released the music video of their latest Japanese single Stay Gold. The song was released on June 19 and its music video was launched on Friday.

Stay Gold's music video seems to be inspired from the current global crisis as the world battles the COVID-19 pandemic. The video beings with the band's members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook in a decrepit setting with a hope to find happiness. The scene quickly changes to an upbeat, brighter mood with cute dogs and outdoor activities.

"In a world where you feel cold, you gotta stay gold," Jungkook sings in the track's opening. The single is the first from BTS' fourth Japanese studio album Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey, which will release on July 14.

Stay Gold topped last week's music poll, published Friday (June 19) on Billboard, with John Legend's new album, 'Bigger Love' and H.E.R.'s new track 'I Can't Breathe' ranking second and third, respectively.

Three days after releasing the track, BTS performed Stay Gold on television for the first time. The song was originally supposed to premiere in April as the theme song for the Japanese drama Spiral Labyrinth – DNA Science, but got pushed back because of the pandemic, reported Elite Daily.
