AP Dhillon BREAKS Silence on Firing Outside His Home in Canada: 'My People Are...'

Singer-rapper AP Dhillon reacted to the gunshots fired out his house in Canada. Taking to Instagram, Dhillon assured fans that he and his people are safe. Preliminary reports have pointed to involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the infamous gangster who has threatened to kill Indian actor Salman Khan.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, AP Dhillon wrote, “I’m safe, My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me. Your support means everything.” The Brown Munde hitmaker signed off the message by saying, “Peace and love to all.”

NDTV reported that a purported post is doing the rounds in which gangster Rohit Godara has claimed responsiblity of firings in two places in Canada – Victoria Island and Woodbridge Toronto. In the alleged post, Rohit apparently claimed he fired outside Dhillon’s house after he collaborated with Salman on a music video. He also gave the singer ‘death threats.’

The gang also warned Dhillon to “stay within his limits” or face severe consequences, like a “dog’s death”.

The firing came just days after he released a music video featuring Salman Khan. The music video, titled Old Money, was released in early August and it was a homage to the 90’s action flicks of India. Dhillon not only performed the song but also stepped behind the camera to co-direct the music video. This marked his first attempt at direction.

With the lead protagonists, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt embodying elder brotherly figures to AP Dhillon respectively in the music video, the song delves into the core values of staying true to one’s roots and inner circle. It showcases Salman Khan fighting goons and firing gunshots to save Dhillon. The music video concludes with a striking end slate ‘say no to violence’ emphasizing the need to choose peace over conflict and using your talent and hustle as a weapon.

Meanwhile, Salman was also subjected to similar incident earlier this year. Gunshots were fired outside his Mumbai home. Lawrence Bishnoi took responsibility of the attack. Following this, Salman has been under tight security.
