Akshay Kumar Starrer Sarfira To Release On THIS Date, First Poster Unveiled; Deets Inside

Akshay Kumar will be soon seen in Sarfira which is a remake of Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru. Today, the release date along with the first poster of the film was shared. The biopic will be released in theatres on July 12. The poster shows Akshay Kumar looking at the sky. In no time fans were also seen reacting to it. The shooting is going on currently.

Recently, a footage was leaked. Akshay Kumar was seen on a terrace with Radhika Madan and two other people. Soon, they all break into a dance sequence on the terrace.

Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru is inspired by the events of G. R. Gopinath’s life, founder of the Indian low-cost airline Simplifly Deccan. The 2020 Tamil drama film was directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga, under their respective banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment. The story was conceptualised and written by Kongara. The film starred Suriya, Aparna Balamurali, and Paresh Rawal, with Mohan Babu, Urvashi, and Karunas amongst others in supporting roles.

Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Welcome To The Jungle. With Sanjay Dutt out of the picture, the cast now includes Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, and Sayaji Shinde, with the recent additions of Jackie Shroff and Aftab Shivdasani.

When the first glimpse of the film was unveiled last year, it generated quite a buzz due to its stellar star cast and distinction from the two previous films. Shreyas Talpade, who will feature in the film in a prominent role, opened up about its plot during an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha.
