Aishwarya Rajesh To Make Kannada Debut With Uttarakaanda

Aishwarya Rajesh has proved herself in the film industry with unconventional and challenging roles primarily in the Tamil cinema. She is now all set to show her impeccable acting skills in the Kannada cinema as well. Aishwarya will make her debut in the Kannada film industry with the movie Uttarakaanda, directed by Rohit Padaki.

Aishwarya Rajesh shared the poster of this film on Instagram which shows her holding an umbrella and giving a somber expression. In another photo, she can be seen posing with the crew of the film in a house.

Aishwarya’s fans congratulated her on this moment while her counterparts from the Kannada film industry, i.e.- Kannada actress and singer Chaithra J Achar welcomed her. One of the fans wrote that the Driver Jamuna actress looks gorgeous. Another one commented that Aishwarya is a lady superstar and a good-hearted person as well.

Details regarding Aishwarya’s role in the film Uttarakaanda are yet to be revealed in the public domain. However, speculations are rife that she will be playing the female lead opposite the actor Daali Dhananjaya. An official confirmation for the same is awaited. Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj have produced this film under the KRG Studios banner. Amit Trivedi will be composing the music while Advaitha Gurumurthy will be handling the camerawork.

Besides Uttarakaanda, Aishwarya’s acting reportage extends to films like Farhana, Theera Kadhal, etc. In Farhana, she was lauded by the viewers for living the role of a married Muslim woman. She talked about this film before it in a conversation with The Hindu. According to her, despite being an edge-of-the-seat thriller, Farhana has a strong emotional connection. She also said, “The film will give the audience a sense of walking into a Muslim community.”

Directed by Nelson Venkatesan, Farhana starred K Selvaraghavan, Aishwarya Dutta, Anumol K Manoharan and others. Dream Warrior Pictures has backed this film which was released at the cinema halls on May 12, 2023, in Kannada and Tamil. In addition to these projects, Aishwarya has several films in hand which include Valaiyam, Idam Porul Yaeval and others.
