Telugu film 14, headlined by the actor Noel Sean and directed by Dangeti Lakshmi Srinivas, has been released in the cinema halls. Starring actors Krishna Murali Posani, debut actor Ram Rathan Reddy, Vishakha Dhiman and others, this film has been receiving mixed reviews from the audience. Production house Royal Picture has bankrolled 14, a romantic crime thriller. Let’s find out whether the film is worth watching or not.
1. Storyline- The narrative begins by showing the life of Ratan (Ram Ratan Reddy), the Chief Minister (Posani Krishna Murali)’s son. Ratan is having the best time of his life with his friends when he happens to meet a junior doctor Neha (Vishakha Dhiman). They start meeting, strike a bond and eventually enter into a romantic relationship. The film’s premise takes an unfortunate turn when both of them are found dead in Neha’s house. The police register a case under suicide and close it. Subbu (Srikanth Iyengar), a journalist, starts an investigation with his friends to prove that it was not a suicide but a murder. What are the causes of their death revealed in the investigation done by journalist Subbu? Who is the person behind their gruesome murders? The film 14 sheds light on these questions.
2. Acting- Talking about the actors, Noel Sean is impressive as a detective. Ram Rathan and Vishakha were also brilliant in the titular roles. Actors Krishna Murali Posani and Mahesh Achanta seem okay with their acting prowess. Srikanth Iyengar was top-notch in the role of journalist Subbu. Actress Roopa Lakshmi, who played the role of the journalist’s wife and other actors also performed well.
3. Technical front: The director Dangeti Lakshmi Srinivas of this film has penned a good storyline that begins on a simple note with no intriguing twists. It picks up pace and soon the audience can’t predict the ending of the storyline. The director has tried to impart a good moral message about what parents should not do, especially in front of their children. The cinematography is impressive but the makers falter on music. The producers made the film without compromising on the production values.
