In 2013, Rampratap of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Vinod Kumar of INC by a margin of 30,487 votes which was 15.71% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 45.53% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Vinod Kumar ‘Lilawali’ of INC won this seat beating Rampratap of BJP by a margin of 386 votes which was 0.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 38.56% in the seat.
