HYDERABAD: A youngster belonging to Nalgonda district, who was engaged in cleaning of septic tank in a pharma company owned by minor irrigation minister T G Venkatesh, died due to asphyxiation on Saturday. The condition of one other person is said to be serious.According to information reaching here, Venkatesh Goud (20), Anjaiah Goud (40) and Veera Naik (30) -- all hailing from Chandampet in Nalgonda district, went to Brilliant Bio-Pharma limited at Pashamailaram in Patancheru industrial area this evening for cleaning the septic tank there.While Venkatesh went inside the tank, Anjaiah and Naik stood outside. Minutes later, they heard Venkatesh crying for help and soon they went inside one after the other to rescue him.However, as all three did not come out even after sometime, the employees at the factory quickly threw a rope inside the tank. Anjaiah and Naik came out using the rope but Venkatesh was dead by then. Anjaiah is safe but the condition of Naik is said to be serious.Police said the trio were engaged in cleaning septic tanks for the last 10 years. “The death could have been caused due to suffocation caused by certain chemicals,” a police official said. A case was registered and investigation is on.
