New Delhi: After 'All The Best', the comic duo of Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt are set to take audiences on another laugh ride with their Dussehra release 'Rascals', directed by David Dhawan. The next day will see the release of Dia Mirza's debut production venture, 'Love Breakups Zindagi', described as a slice of life drama.
Co-produced by Sanjay Dutt, Sanjay Ahluwalia and Vinay Choksey, 'Rascals' revolves around two conmen, Ajay and Sanjay, trying to out-scheme each other.
Chetan Chauhan (Sanjay) and Bhagat Bhosle (Ajay) dupe Anthony Gonsalves (Arjun Rampal) on the same day but on different occasions. After that, they board the flight to Bangkok only to find themselves seated next to each other.
They can't see eye to eye with each other; so Chetan decides to send Bhagat packing back to India.
In Bangkok, Chetan has a fake charity, The Art of Giving, through which he has been duping hundreds of local people. Chetan encounters a wealthy girl, Khushi, and targets her as his next victim. Then enters Bhagat, posing as a navy officer who has lost his sight.
Khushi is moved by the story and is filled with love and compassion for him. An angry Chetan tries every trick in his bag to get rid of Bhagat. Both find themselves stuck in weird situations created by each other. The film also stars Lisa Haydon, Hiten Paintal and Chunkey Pandey.
While the whole cast of the film is busy promoting 'Rascals', Kangna has been missing following issues with the producers. However, they refuse to spill the beans on the controversy.
'Love Breakups Zindagi' is directed by Dia's boyfriend Sahil Sanga and co-produced by actor Zayed Khan, is quite different in mood.
The film revolves around seven people and their perception towards love and life.
Jai (Zayed) and Naina (Dia) are almost 'settled' in their life but feel they are missing something or someone, who will make them complete. Then there's Govind (Cyrus Sahukar), who has led a colourful life. He has been in relationships, but none of them worked out. Sheila (Tisca Chopra) has been looking for her Mr. Right for a long time but hasn't been able to find a suitable match. Ritu (Umang Jain) lives on breakups and ice cream.
Dhruv (Vaibhav Talwar) and Radhika (Pallavi Sharda) are workaholics ignoring the smaller happiness in their lives; then Arjun (Satyadeep Misra) and Gayatri (Auritra Ghosh) are the perfect couple on the brink of a dream wedding. How they get what is missing in their lives is what the film is all about.
Whether this festive weekend will prove to be lucky for both the films yet to be seen.
