HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Monday caught a Village Revenue Officer (VRO) from Vizianagaram district for taking bribe.VRO of Poosaratirega village I Ravikanth was caught on Monday afternoon at his office when he took Rs 3,000 from a person to process and issue a pattadar pass book and title deeds, an official release said.Ravikanth will be arrested and produced before a special court for ACB cases in Visakhapatnam.DismissedMeanwhile, former assistant engineer of tribal welfare department of Integrated Tribal Development Authority in Eturunagaram Mir Younus Ali was dismissed from service by the government following his conviction in a trap case. Younus Ali was caught in 2002 when he took Rs 10,000 for an official favour, the release said.Ex-PR Engineer ConvictedAn ACB court in Visakhapatnam convicted and sentenced a former assistant engineer of panchayatraj department in Pendurthi section of Visakhapatnam N Sankara Babu to one year simple imprisonment and imposed on him a fine of Rs 3,000 in a trap case.Sankara Babu was trapped in 2005 by ACB officials when he took Rs 10,000 for an official favour.
