Vijay Mallya traced to countryside estate near London
His neighbours claim there was a Force One car that entered his residence recently, showing that he continues living the lifestyle that he has been used to.

Even as the Indian authorities are pressing for Vijay Mallya's return, the liquor baron has been traced to a countryside estate in United Kingdom. Instead of his home in London, he is at his countryside estate which is nearly a half an hour drive from the north of London.

CNN-IBN traced him to his estate from London with the assistance of people in the neighbourhood villages who know of him for his thirty acre estate, and for his rather colourful lifestyle. They spoke of his lifestyle in the pub and of interesting visitors in recent days.

Though it is clear that he he is currently at the countryside estate, it is to be seen as to how long he can stay there as the Indian government wants him back in the country to face investigations. However, it is going to be a long haul for the authorities as they would have to go through the British government for his expedition. Even if the British government approves his expedition, he still has recourse to the courts to resist his return to India.

Meanwhile, his neighbours claim there was force one car that entered his residence recently, showing that he continues to live the lifestyle that he has been used to.

In the Supreme Court on Wednesday, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi had said the top priority for authorities in India was to make Mallya return and disclose his assets, most of which are abroad. If he fails to do so, proceedings for revocation of his passport may be initiated as was done in the case of former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued a notice to the business tycoon on a petition by a consortium of 17 banks seeking impounding of his passport. Mallya's defunct Kingfisher Airlines owes Rs 7,800 crore to a consortium of 17 banks led by SBI. The court has allowed notice be served to Mallya through his official Rajya Sabha email ID through Indian High Commission at London & his counsel & Co.

Mallya, an extravagant, larger-than-life personality who billed himself as the "King of Good Times", has become one of India's most famous errant borrowers

In a statement on Sunday, Mallya said he had no intention of running away from creditors and was in talks with them for a one-time settlement of the Kingfisher debt.
