BANGALORE Two construction workers were killed on the spot after cement hollow blocks from an under construction building, where they were working, fell on their heads. The incident took place on Kudlu Main Road in Parappana Agrahara police station limits on Monday.The deceased have been identified as Ilam Barti (40) and Hari (42), both natives of Dharmapuri district in Tamil Nadu.According to the police, one Muni Reddy was constructing a four-storey house and the work of building a wall on the third floor was in progress. Barti and Hari were sending cement hollow blocks to the third floor by using wheel and axle mechanism. They filled them in a cane basket and lifted it by pulling the rope, standing on the ground floor. During the process, the basket accidentally hit the parapet of the third floor and the blocks fell on their heads. The duo were killed on the spot. Parappana Agrahara police have booked the owner under section 304A of the IPC.
