TIRUPUR: Two persons, including a conductor, died on the spot and 12 others injured when a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus rammed behind a parked lorry near Kangeyam on Sunday.According to police sources, the TNSTC bus was on the way to Tirupur from Mannarkudi with 15 passengers when the mishap took place. When the bus was nearing Sivanmalai at Kangeyam around 4.45 am, it hit a sand-laden lorry parked on roadside. Thick fog had apparently reduced visibility, police said. Conductor Arumugam, 52, and passenger Kannan, 20, from Pudhu Sathur sustained severe injuries and died. Twelve other passengers, including the driver were seriously injured. The driver got stuck inside the mangled front part of the bus and his leg was crushed under the steering wheel. After struggling for nearly an hour, police rescued him by removing steering wheel.
