New Delhi: F1 newcomer Timo Glock put Toyota on top of the testing timesheets on Wednesday.
Glock , who has replaced fellow German Ralf Schumacher in the team, lapped a damp Jerez circuit with a best time of one minute and 19.779 seconds.
Glock completed 96 laps, more than anyone, and his time provided a marked contrast to Tuesday when he warned that Toyota might take a step backwards while they came to grips with a car that differs noticeably from last year's.
Meanwhile, Red Bull Racing became the latest Formula One team to unveil their new car for the upcoming season on Wednesday.
Drivers David Coulthard and Mark Webber rolled out the new RB4 at the Jerez circuit in Spain.
Redesigned to accommodate the rule changes laid down by F1's governing body and powered by the same Renault RS28 engine that the ING Renault team will use in the 2008 season, Red Bull Racing are hoping to improve on their fifth place in the Constructors' Championship last year and win the first Grand Prix of their short three-season history.
"Yeah, there are a lot of changes in this car from last year, a lot of aerodynamic changes which... I don't want to say specifically, I think the journalists who follow Formula One closely will be able to see some of the areas which have been tidied up on the car - and also below the surface the car has been changed significantly," Red Bull's David Coulthard said.
