A couple of teachers was arrested at Tiruvannamalai as well. A hunt is on to trace Balan, the kingpin of the racket, who is believed to be in Chennai.TNPSC chairman R Nataraj, who had assumed office with the specific task of ridding it of corruption, said the exam stood cancelled. Throwing up his hands on a “foolproof” system having gone awry, he said: “If one individual chooses to be dishonest, it’s beyond our power. Human failure is something we can’t control.”The scandal came to light when alert candidate-cum-Village Administrative Officer Revathi confronted fellow candidate Dhanakodi of Erode over the similarity in the questions asked in the exam and the ones that figured in a ‘sample’ question paper that the latter had.Grilling Dhanakodi led police to her husband Senthil.
