New Delhi:Tennis superstar Roger Federer and golf legend Tiger Woods dominate their sport and are very good friends.

Federer is on a winning spree at Wimbledon and eyeing to break Pete Sampras's records of 14 Grand Slam title and Tiger has come out in support of his friend saying that he is willing to put his money on the Swiss player winning his 15th Grand Slam title.

"Am I in contact with Fed? Yeah. We probably text about every day, but what he's doing over there and what he's done throughout his entire career has been pretty phenomenal, just his consistency in the slams, the biggest events, he's always there. Every single Slam he plays in he's in the semi-final or better,” said Tiger.

“And for him to win 14 and now all four surfaces has been -- all four events has been pretty cool to see him and get to know him. And again, just like him, how hard he works off the court to be prepared, to go the distance to win. He works so hard. It's just frightening how hard this guy works. But he makes it look so easy, and hopefully I can win, but more importantly, hope he gets to 15," added the golfer.

Federer, who has won the men's singles title at Wimbledon five times, on Wednesday booked his place in a 21st straight Grand Slam semi-final defeating Croatian Ivo Karlovic in straight sets.

The world No. 2 won his quarter-final match 6-3, 7-5, 7-6.
